We've already introduced you to Agathe and her light-filled Parisian duplex in a video. Now, we're revealing her style through a few behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot. Like us, it's impossible not to fall under the spell of her spacious apartment. Click here to see for yourself.
During her home tour, we discovered a world of slow living, with a mix of vintage objects and carefully selected furniture. Agathe Madeline, artistic director and co-founder of Rue des Roses (link https://ruedesroses.paris/ ) is one of those stylish girls with good taste that people follow for inspiration on Instagram. In her duplex apartment in the 9th arrondissement, nothing is left to chance. Particularly when it comes to making the most of her prized possession, a 7-metre-high glass roof that lets light into the living and dining areas.
Scandinavian touches in the living room, combined with design pieces like the famous Pipistrello lamp, but also notes of memories delicately placed on the radiator, a green corner with an olive tree and green plants, to perfect the living room's white look, Agathe has managed to mix styles, even if she's still looking for THE right piece. "I'm dreaming of an Eames armchair, some pretty chairs, a lamp from Socialite Family and a wooden farm table. But at the start of the year, I'm going to go for some pretty bed linen and boutis, I think, just for our bedroom.
On the same level is 8-year-old Anouck's bedroom. "For Anouk's room, I can't decide anything, she does everything, she creates her own little world, she's very creative. As for George's room, I wanted lots of soft colors and wood, so my father made him a pretty wooden hut so he could have his own room upstairs. While Agathe's style is distilled from the living room to the nursery, George's bedroom is the perfect example of mix & match, with vintage toys blending with a bohemian, vintage aura. "I do a lot of garage sales, Emmaüs and the Chatou fair, even if it's quite expensive". The result? An interior that's hard to leave behind - we console ourselves by copying Agathe's great decorating ideas!
