The French expression "ménage de printemps" ("spring cleaning") originated during the spring season, which is also a sign of natural renewal. It's a time to clean up and put on light clothes. The sun is warmer and the flowers come out, prompting us to bring something new into our homes.
This expression has its origins in the world of agriculture. Farmers used the term when they had to empty cellars and attics to accommodate new crops. Since then, the expression has stuck, and has been taken up in our homes, which are now more modern and comfortable.

There's nothing like natural products for effective, thorough cleaning. White vinegar is our best ally for limescale and stubborn stains.
To get rid of limescale around the faucet and in the bathroom, use white vinegar, leave to stand and then clean with a sponge. To clean your showerhead, fill a freezer bag with white vinegar, tie it around the showerhead and leave it to work.
If you want to clean the seals on your windows or sliding doors, use a toothbrush with white vinegar and baking soda.
Similarly, if you've got a microwave, you can use a quick and easy trick: fill a bowl with white vinegar and a little hot water, then place it at maximum temperature for 5 minutes, letting the steam act on the walls.
Then you can clean very easily, as the steam will clean the walls.
