Because it's important for us to know that our pieces are "pampered", here are our little tips for looking after your beautiful mirrors. Whether rattan, nickel silver, brass or metal, all you need to get started are your best allies, listed above.
First step: remove dust with a microfiber cloth. Then, if you don't have a good glass cleaner, prepare a competitive mixture by mixing vinegar with a little water (the equivalent of a cup of water). This "homemade" solution is ideal for bathroom mirrors (where stains are most stubborn: toothpaste marks, make-up and even the little one's fingerprints). Set aside your mixture (which you'll use in step two), then tackle the stains first by soaking your cotton pads in a few drops of 90° alcohol mixed with hot water. Tip: alcohol dries very quickly, so it's best to complete this step fairly quickly. Last step for a mirror that shines: take a window sprayer (or your own vinegar-and-water solution), then spray evenly from top to bottom, from left to right, always starting at the top left-hand corner and repeating the same process. Ideally, avoid letting the liquid dry out, as too much window cleaner can lead to scratches and spills that are harder to repair. The result? A luminous mirror that's sure to be the envy of many.
